Things I learned from Aaron Read while in Iceland

1. Aim to shoot f16 as much of the time as possible

2. ALWAYS shoot landscape photos using a circular polerizer filter

3. Waterfall or shooting in spray technique

4. Shoot using 2 second delay unless there is a need for specific timing

5. Almost always shoot with bracketing

6. Did you know Canon r5’s can shoot down to ISO 50? I did not

7. When shooting moving water aim for 0.5 seconds or more

8. When editing make sure the brightness of you computer & screen is correct. Usually this means ~50% brightness. Most people edit with their brightness cranked

9. If trying to sell prints:

   1. Shoot more natural earth tones(not just pretty pink skies during sunrise & sunset)

   2. Seperate galleries on your website into types (ie waterfalls vs lakes vs seascapes)

   3. It is your job to cull your photos. You cannot have 10 shots from same scene. If you do publish mulitple images from the same shoot it must be radically different.
